We would like to thank these local businesses who have sponsored this project.
There is a sign inside the dock section (photo right) listing and thanking these sponsors for helping us to save lives. They are:
Columbia BankWalmart Newport Candy Shoppe
Georgie’s Beachside Grill Mariner Square
We have also received a grant of $2,500 from the Georgia Pacific Foundation, which we will use to provide solar powered lighting for the evacuation route sign, and we will finish the project off by painting murals on the inside walls of the Information Center. We will announce a public competition to select the murals shortly.
When you get to Newport, follow the signs to the Historic Bay Front. We are in the SW 200 block of Bay Boulevard.
Look for the Undersea Gardens.
